Full arch dental implants in Dubai

A fixed set of teeth supported by four to six implants, for patients missing most or all of their teeth. Planned on 3D CT and placed by an oral and maxillofacial surgeon with over 30 years in practice.

When a full arch solution makes sense

Full arch implants replace an entire upper or lower set of teeth. They are usually considered when individual teeth can no longer be saved, or when a removable denture is no longer working.

Most or all teeth are failing

Advanced decay or gum disease has left teeth that can’t be individually restored.

An existing denture won't stay put

Slipping, sore spots, adhesive that stops working, difficulty eating in company.

Bone loss has changed the fit

The jaw ridge shrinks after teeth are lost, so a denture that once fitted no longer does.

You want a fixed result

Teeth that stay in place and are cleaned in the mouth rather than taken out at night.

All-on-4, All-on-6, and implant-supported dentures

These names describe how many implants support the arch and whether the final teeth are fixed or removable. The right one depends on your bone volume, your bite and what you want day to day.

All-on-4

Four implants support a fixed bridge for the whole arch. The back implants are angled to use available bone, which often avoids grafting.

All-on-6

Six implants spread the load further. Considered where bone allows and where the bite demands more support.

Implant-supported denture

A denture that clips onto implants. Removable for cleaning, but far more stable than a conventional denture. Usually the lower-cost route.

Same day teeth, and what that actually means

In many full arch cases a temporary fixed bridge is fitted on the day of surgery, so you don’t leave without teeth. The final bridge comes later, once the implants have integrated with the bone. Same day refers to the temporary, not the finished result.

What happens on the day

What still takes time

Considering the same-day route? Our surgeon has written a longer piece on where immediate loading works and where it doesn’t: Are same day dental implants reliable? The honest truth

From consultation to final bridge

01

Consultation and 3D CT

Full assessment, panoramic x-ray and 3D CT scan to measure bone volume and locate nerves and sinuses.

02

Digital planning

Implant positions planned digitally before surgery, with the final tooth position designed first.

03

Surgery and temporary

Any remaining teeth removed, implants placed, temporary fixed bridge fitted in suitable cases.

04

Healing reviews

Scheduled checks while the implants integrate. Adjustments to the temporary as needed.

05

Final bridge

Impressions or intraoral scan, then the definitive bridge is made and fitted.

How we plan the case before touching anything

3D CT scan

Bone height and width measured, nerve and sinus position mapped.

Intraoral scan

A digital model of your mouth, no impression trays.

Digital smile design

The final tooth position designed first, then implants planned to support it.

Surgical microscope

Used where magnification improves precision during the procedure.

Bone volume, and what happens if there isn't enough

Implants need bone to anchor into. After teeth have been missing for a while the ridge shrinks, so the CT scan is what determines the plan rather than an examination alone.

Angled placement

Tilting the rear implants uses the bone that is there, which in many cases avoids a graft entirely.

Bone grafting

Where volume is genuinely insufficient, bone is augmented first and the implants placed later.

Short implants

Shorter fixtures can suit reduced bone height in selected cases.

Uncontrolled diabetes, active gum infection, heavy smoking and some medications affect healing and implant success. These are discussed openly at the consultation, because they change the plan rather than simply rule you out.

Eating, speaking and cleaning

Eating

Soft diet during healing, then a far wider range of food than a conventional denture allows.

Speech

Most people adapt within days. A fixed upper bridge leaves the palate clear, which many find easier.

Cleaning

Brushing plus cleaning under the bridge with interdental brushes or a water flosser. We show you at the fit appointment.

Long term maintenance matters. Implants don’t decay, but the gum and bone around them can become inflamed if plaque is left, so regular hygiene reviews are part of the treatment rather than an add-on.

    Frequently asked questions

The procedure is done under local anaesthetic and sedation is available. Discomfort and swelling in the days afterwards are managed with prescribed medication, and we review you during healing.

In suitable cases a fixed temporary bridge is fitted the same day. Whether your case is suitable is determined by the CT scan and the stability of the implants at placement.

Angled implant placement often uses the available bone without grafting. Where volume is genuinely insufficient, grafting is done first and implants placed afterwards.

Yes. Whether both are treated together or in stages depends on your case and is discussed at the planning appointment.
